About Me

Hey guys and girls, my names Marc and I’ve been a loop artist since mid 2015. I’ve been working hard on my craft since the day I got my first real loop setup around that same time. Before I get talking about my rig setup I thought it’d be best to tell you a little about myself, as a person as well as a musician, so here goes...

I’m from a little town in Cheshire called Winsford, I grew up there and I’ve moved about a lot since the age of 22. I’ve been learning and bettering myself as a guitarist since I got my first guitar at age 15 as a Christmas gift from my father and since then I’ve played many different styles and genres of music, from rock, punk and heavy metal through to pop and hip hop over the years as my tastes changed and matured.

My biggest influences come from all walks of life, from Ed Sheeran and his loop skills and amazing songwriting talents to late great legends like Dimebag Darryl Abbott of Pantera and Randy Rhodes of Ozzy Osbourne fame, as well as the likes of Johnny cash, Alanis Morrisette, etc and I cite Arctic monkeys, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Metallica, NWA, Jay Z, Nas and Biggie Smalls as some of my favourite groups/artists (obviously theres lots more but id be here forever) this can be seen by just looking at my repertoire, which at last count has about 80 songs ready to gig from as far back as the 60s to present day charts.

I first decided to give the loop pedal a try after hearing KT Tunstall and Ed Sheeran both show what can be done with them, and then I later had the pleasure of watching a young artist opening up for a friend of mine during her E.P. launch in Chester back in 2015 and watching this young lad do what he does so well and felt that just playing an acoustic guitar just wasn’t enough for me, so I took a shot at it and 3 1/2 years later, here I am creating this website, and I can safely say this has been an awesome journey so far.

Ive played shows all over the country and I also try and share my talents overseas when I can, from playing a song for the resort when I went to Egypt with a friend back in 2015, or when I bought a little cuban guitar to keep me busy in Cuba (I had the whole resort up singing and dancing most nights till 2am!)

But I wouldn’t be anything without my trusty loop pedal set up, and have since branched out and extended my musical arsenal with my band rig (I’m not in a band so I might as well get as much use as I can from it lol) and I even figured out I can add keyboards through an AUX cable to thicken up the loops (which I use my Samsung tablet and a piano app for)

So up to now, the rig I use is the following;

  • Boss RC30 Loop Station

  • Boss FS6 switcher pedal

  • TC Electronics Flashback x4 Delay

  • TC Electronics Polytune 2

  • Tc Electronics Mojo Mojo Overdrive

  • TC Electronics Dreamscape Chorus/Flange/Vibrato (the John Petrucci Signature)

  • Boss DS1 Distortion pedal

  • Boss PS6 Harmoniser pedal

  • Dunlop Wah Pedal

  • Crafter FX550 Electro-acoustic Guitar

  • PRS Custom 24 30th Anniversary Amethyst Guitar

Thats pretty much it really, but if you’d like to know more or have any questions about myself or what I do or anything at all, feel free to get in touch with me via email or any of my social media contacts also found in my contacts page.

Thanks for checking me out!
